Mental Health Education Training Program 2022

For an Interpersonal Communication course, "Social Skills: Assessment and Development", I created a training program to be used to train private High School teachers in support of students' mental health. I developed a 20 page curriculum for the course as well as a presentation overviewing the training and my rationale. Here, you will see visual materials I developed for use in the training. The poster with the speech bubbles depicting supportive and open dialogue around Burnout is to be used by teachers in promoting a classroom culture that values individuality and wellbeing in the learning environment. The card depicting a student with symptoms and behaviors listed under it is to be used as a practice case study for teachers to learn to efficiently identify the mental state of their students. The text "This student is experiencing mid-level mental health struggles" is the back side of the card with the students and symptoms. It's meant to allow teachers to better align their perspective of mental health and illness with scientifically backed symptoms, breaking false assumptions.
